Making Dialogue ... Make a Difference

Kosher doughnuts and mincepies were very much enjoyed by the sixty people who attended a meeting of the Council of Christians and Jews, Hillingdon Branch, held at Northwood & Pinner Liberal Synagogue in December 2002.

The Reverend Alan Greenbat OBE and the Reverend David Tuck provided intriguing insights into many of the traditions celebrating Chanukah and Christmas which have evolved over the years. The Chanukah candles were lit as well as the Advent candles, clearly demonstrating the influence and importance of "light" to both faiths.

Both Ministers injected some light-hearted humour into their presentations and also answered questions from the multi-faith audience about their respective festivals.
