Sacred Sounds & Synchronicity With Jacky Chernett, First UK Female Cantor: A Personal Journey Held at Northwood & Pinner Liberal Synagogue, Oaklands Gate, Northwood. Wednesday 13 August 2008 Muslim Views on Judaism and Christianity Dr Chris Hewer addressed the question: "How does the third of the Abrahamic faiths view its earlier cousins?" Dr Chris Hewer is the St Ethelburga Fellow in Christian-Muslim relations. He has a background in Christian theology, education and Islamic studies and has worked in the field of Muslims in Britain and Christian-Muslim relations since 1986. AGM, Discussion and a Special Presentation to Rabbi Dr Andrew Goldstein Coming direct from attending the Jerusalem conference of the International Council of Christians & Jews, Rabbi Dr Andrew Goldstein addressed the question, "What more is there to say in Christian/Jewish dialogue?" Held at Northwood & Pinner Liberal Synagogue, Oaklands Gate, Northwood.
CCJ Hillingdon Branch's Vice-Chairman Rabbi Dr Andrew Goldstein honoured
Under the inspired leadership of its chairman Sidney Moss, Hillingdon Branch's innovative programmes have drawn newcomers to the CCJ. Many of these events have been hosted by Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue [NPLS], whose Rabbi Dr Andrew Goldstein was due to retire after 43 years as Senior Rabbi. A surprise supper reception was given to honour Rabbi Andrew prior to the branch's AGM, where Rabbi Andrew was the keynote speaker on the continuing importance of dialogue...

Sir Sigmund Sternberg, Patron of ICCJ and co-founder of the UK Three Faiths Forum presents Rabbi Goldstein with the Interfaith Gold Medallion - Peace Through Dialogue in recognition of Andrew's long-standing involvement with interfaith activities.

Our Annual Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration meeting Remembering the past, reflecting on the present, reacting to create a better future with Holocaust Survivor Hannah Lewis Hannah described her personal experience during WWII: hidden as a child, passing as a Polish child, and after her mother was discovered and shot in front of her, Hannah continued to survive on her instincts and wits. She is a remarkable lady, tells her story with great vividness and dignity, and today is much involved in helping others in many ways.
