and Dorothy Thornhill, elected Mayor of Watford, initiated Watford's Audentior Awards, which celebrate the achievements of community spirited residents and organisations.

The Motherhood of Mary in Doctrine and Devotion

Liberation Theology

• Whatever happened to Liberation Theology?
• What does Liberation Theology mean to you?
• Liberation Theology today in multi-faith Hillingdon?
Liberation Theology is a 'bottom up' theology, an understanding of God and ourselves that is not dictated or directed by those in authority and power but formed and worked out by those on the ground, often the poorest and most powerless of society.
Such a theological movement has had a marked impression on many peoples' lives in Latin America, and from there it has influenced many other parts of the world.
Following his experience of living in Brazil and studying Liberation Theology at Roehampton, University of Surrey, Richard Bartlett asks:
